Just saw this in one of the blogs I read.

The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread: Japan's New Chocolate Slices

I guess my only question is why no one ever thought of this before?

At first I want to say this sounds disgusting.
Then it sounds like it'd be really good.
Then I read the description of the chocolate and it sounds like that god awful Duvalin fudge like candy which I liked as a kid, but can't fathom enjoying the texture now.

What do you need a slice of chocolate for? What is it used for?

Use it on bread just like Nutella, I'd presume. I had a restaurant manager once who loved chocolate toast. He'd take an artisan chocolate bar (milk, or sometimes white "chocolate") on top of a piece of toast and let it melt under the salamander. I tried it along with him a few times. No complaints from me when bread and chocolate are combined!

Before anyone asks, I looked it up. A salamander is type of free-standing broiler.

im sure its good,,like the chocolate chips coming out (like potato chips)

I went to an event a couple years ago and they had a chocolate fountain...

I love chocolate ....but can easily over indulge...

the chocolate fountain was intriguing for everyone I was the first to get a cup of it,,and drank it,,,yep it was good,,incredibly rich.... I encourage the other guests to give it a shot

I had to walk away I wanted another cup and it could have easily made me sick

my point is,,,, I wont buy these slices,,,, for the same reason I never tried most drugs...I might like them and want more...

I suspect it would be WAY too sweet for me. I like chocolate as a health food, which means minimum 85%.
