Tonight I'm trying a new recipe for Country Club Chicken (with pasta, white wine, bacon and cheese), bacon-mashed potatoes, spicy cabbage, and white chocolate cranberry Christmas cookies for dessert.

I put in lg potato chunks, cut carrots and stew meat in the crock pot this morning with a bag of this new crock pot stuff for stew. I sure hope it is good. I'm sure the dogs are hating me today since they have to smell this their whole day.

Sheena, I am so sorry to hear about your dad - what a sad holiday it will be for both of us. I lost my grandmother last Wednesday and will be attending her funeral three days before Christmas in California. She was 99 years old and lived a good, happy, life, so while I shall miss her, I still celebrate her life.

My sincerest condolences - and I truly wish there was something I could do.

Oh dear sheena I am so sorry for your loss.I send my condolence to you and your family. May you find strength throughout the next weeks and eventually find inner peace. I know it hurts so much at the moment but it will get easier and you will have always dear memories of your father and the good times you 2 had. Hugs to you in this difficult time.
