I love this article, for I, too, love Costco for its food court especially. The hot dog/soda deal is one of the best around, and the pizza, while not the greatest in the world, is quite tasty for what you pay for it, and you get a lot for your money. I like the chicken bake also. I'm not sure if they serve brisket sandwich at my local Costco as I haven't checked the menu lately.

Costco food-court taste test - Business Insider

Quote:
A stop at Costco's humble food court — after walking miles around the cavernous warehouse — is a shameless reward for buying enough extra paper towels to fill your entire car trunk.

The food court is simple, yet esteemed by Costco diehards. Amazingly, it's one of the biggest pizza chains in the US, and nationwide they sell roughly 100 million hot dogs a year – at extremely low prices.

After several of our readers expressed their regard for Costco's hot dogs and pizza, we took a trip to the retail giant's Brooklyn location to discover all of its revered food court glories — it totally exceeded our expectations.

First visit today. Food court was pretty decent. We had hot dogs......the pizza and the sandwiches and rolls looked really good. The hot dogs were pretty tasty!

Prices overall in the warehouse were not as good as I expected them to be. But I will definitely go again, and time it either for lunch or just before suppertime for a pizza to bring home.

Best dining experiences?

The $1.50 dog deal is good and the brisket sandwich is tasty but beyond a great deal for the money I dont believe it would qualify as a best dining experience.

To each his own I guess.

We used to love the pizza at our Costco food court. Great price(I think it was $8/9 for a large pie) and the crust was amazing. Sadly, it has been years and years since we indulge. Fitness has taken over our lives.

The big signs just behind the checkout lanes trumpeting the sausage, hot dog or pizza deals would be staring at us as we waited in line. So tempting.

"one of the best dining experiences we've ever had" ... ?

I truly pity that person's dining history.

There's a wide gulf between 'not bad for a food court' and 'great dining experience'.

Back when I worked in Schaumburg, many moons ago, there was a Costco just down the street. A friend of mine from the office and I used to eat there at least twice a month - neither of us had a membership, but you didn't need one to eat there. It was great on those days when you didn't have a lunch, or a whole lot of money.

Love the brisket sandwich! Sooo yummy!

Unfortunately, it's no longer on my list of possible meals due to dietary changes

Agreed. And the hot dogs easily cross that gulf. Although not technically a food court item, so do the $4.99 rotisserie chickens! I have no idea how they get those chickens so juicy.
