Trader Joe's curried white chicken salad. We had it yesterday for the first time.

Nearly all the other things we bought we didn't like very well, and we'll be returning some of them.

Dark-chocolate covered fruits & berries.

I finished bag of the Brookside pomegranates over the weekend. They were so good that I picked up a big bag of Dove dark-chocolate-covered cranberries.

Dried seaweed thins. I put them into Japanese miso soup. It sort of tastes like a fishy spinach! (It's actually nicer than I'm making it sound).

Discovered Allegro Original Marinade for marinating steaks about a year ago after someone told me her chef husband used it in his restaurant. Now, I never make rib-eyes or any steaks without marinating in Allegro first for a couple of hours before broiling or grilling. It's nothing fancy, you can buy it at Wal-mart or your local grocery store. Delicious.

I am a little cheese-obsessed, and my favorite restaurant featured samples of an extra-mature white cheddar from the brand Black Bomber this week. After sampling, I bought a wedge. Absolutely delicious, extra sharp, but mellow, great as a dessert cheese along with a sweet wine.

I purchased Fish Fry tickets from a local church for their annual fall fundraiser. Last year, the fish was cod, and was deep fried, crispy, and out of this world. I was a little put off when I found out that the fish this year was going to be salt-and-pepper fried catfish. Wasn't sure I would like it as much, but it was really, really good.

Tried some dark, sea-salted chocolate bar from my local grocery. Now I'm addicted.

I made a green chile casserole last night from a recipe on JA Jance's website, after reading her latest novel, Downfall. It was good, but the proportions were all wrong (way too much cheese, not enough chiles). But it tasted good, basically, so I'm going to adjust the recipe to make something I like more.

Go with the unsweetened, no high fructose corn syrup and Mr. CSD and his family have used this product for more than 60 years.

Curry goat and rice that my son brought from, of all places, an Oktoberfest in a formerly German neighborhood of New York City, Yorkville.

Can you return something just because you didn't like it?
