Nestle is thinking about selling its US candy business - Business Insider

Nestle is looking to sell its US candy business, with brands such as Butterfinger and Crunch.

Many seem to view Mondelez as the most likely buyer. Hershey may make a counteroffer, however, such a deal may face some scrutiny. Mars is unlikely since they are busy integrating their chocolate and Wrigley businesses.

I wonder, if a sale of their candy business occurs, with the recipes of their candy change? If Hershey is the buyer, expect a sale of 5th Avenue and Krackel to either Mars or Mondelez.

And they are vastly outnumbered by Baby Boomers who are still hoping the Mars Bar will make a real comeback.

Hershey chocolate has a waxy taste. Nestle is better. I had a Kit Kat bar in the UK and when I came back and bought one here the taste was different. Read the label and saw that over here Kit Kat is made by Hershey. Sad if Hershey takes over. But at least I won't be eating any more candy bars.
