Wine - the taste is OK but the effects are terrible. Its a very cheap buzz that makes my head hot and within an hour I'll start getting tired and headachy. It reminds me of the buzz a cigarette gives. I love beer and some other spirits but wine is a no-go.
Well, I don't know if "everyone" loves oysters, but it seems that there are a lot of oyster aficionados out there. However, I am not a part of that group. I have tried to eat oysters several times over the past 55 years or so, and just a taste of them brings me very close to vomiting.

must be the sulfides. Even cheap wine, can be refreshing and if you only drink a glass or two it shouldn't cause you trouble unless it is the sulfides. When you say cheap, of course I don't know how cheap you are referring to; I can remember some when we were first married; not good for anyone, not even a wino.

Oh, I feel ya. I used to feel the same way until I started drinking different wines. I would drink 2 glasses of chianti or merlot and the next day it felt like I was hit by a bus and that was usually with Cali wines and some Italian wines. I can now literally drink an entire bottle in about 2 hours and feel completely fine the next day. I almost gave up on wine until I started researching and changing regions of where it was being produced. Now I drink mostly French, Northern Italian, Spain and South American.
