Harris teeter sells great rotisserie chicken, garlic and herb, whole and pieces. No need to ruin them with bottled sauce which is just sugar water anyway. I would just piece them out the way you normally serve chicken, Keep one for display with fruit slices and cranberries. Cranberry jelly is great with rotiss chicken, BTW.

You had me up 'til "bottled BBQ sauce," especially since you'll also be making pulled pork. Rotisserie chicken is good as is, usually, and with the rest of the meal, I think you'll be fine.

Like others have said, I'd skip the BBQ sauce. I doubt anyone is going to think you're lazy. Pulled BBQ pork sliders and mac and cheese, you really can't go wrong.

I agree, you're doing great and it sounds like a lot of cooking as it is. Just serve the chicken as is, with the sauce on the side. That's how I like it, personally. I also use rotisserie chicken with Indian sauces like masala or Butter chicken (and I used bottled ones shamelessly ). But it doesn't look like Asian influences wold fit the rest of the menu.

One holiday I served refrigerated pulled pork from Costco. No one complained, especially when eating homemade cake afterwards. Holidays are much less stressful now that I stopped pretending to be Martha Stewart and save time and strength by buying something.

Happy Holidays and I hope you get better soon!

Good ideas about skipping the BBQ sauce - I'll put it on the side, in case people want it.

Nothing wrong with that. Poultry is poultry. Don't tell the diners.

Everybody makes stovetop dressing nowadays anyway, even if they roast a turkey. After that, its all just mashed potatoes and canned cranberries.

I happened to pick up a rotisserie chicken just shortly ago. I like it heated up with just salt and pepper. No need to overwhelm it with anything else. Just toss some side dishes on the plate.

Sounds great to me. It is the people around the table not what's ON the table that you will enjoy the most! Merry Christmas
