Being Good Friday we are having fish. To be honest we are not really having it because it is good Friday. We are having it cause we want it. I am doing mussels over pasta with a wine and garlic sauce. Of course, what is any pasta dish with out a great green salad. And yes, a glass or two of vino.

Warm day here in Northern California, grilling this evening. Have some Korean style beef short ribs ("Kalbi") marinating. Served with a salad and steamed rice.

Tonight we are having Italian shellfish stew (clams, scallops, whitefish, shrimp)
toasted garlic bread, antipasto salad, and coconut cream cheesecake for dessert. Only 2 more days until I can drink wine again!

Forget Easter brunch mimosas, I'm going straight for a tequila sunrise!

TGIF and have a wonderful and blessed Easter everyone!

It’s cool and rainy today. I’m making beef stew, with rosemary and sea salt rolls. The kids are visiting again, and I never know for sure how many for dinner. With stew it doesn’t matter who eats, or when.

post script to post #1918...this is a picture of the aftermath.
The mussels were smaller and extremely fresh, they opened very quickly, fifty two of them..

This picture reminds me of an old Western Movie where the Native American Chief waves his and and says;
'Today many dead and wounded..tomorrow, many more to die.'
