After cross country skiing we all will eat green lentil soup made in the slow cooker served with garlic buttered naan, Frankfurters diced for the kids in their soup as well sliced onions,tomatoes, English cucumber.
For dessert meringue rings with vanilla ice cream and melted chocolate sauce.
Usually we have ham for New Years but had it on Christmas so it is prime rib late this afternoon. We are having it with horse radish sauce, and twice baked potatoes as well as a green salad with home made blue cheese dressing. We will have to have another dressing for spoiled brat. I am thinking of doing a couple of lite appetizers as well while we enjoy a glass or two of wine.
For anyone who says they are going to get back on the healthy eating band wagon starting today. good for you, I think I want to put that off until tomorrow.
Small gathering at our home this evening. Asian theme: grilling Korean beef ribs, ordering some sushi rolls, pot stickers, Chinese chicken salad, BBQ pork, roast duck and chow mein.
Tonight's the fish we were going to have last night.
