So my friend who was good friends with Versace is having a viewing party for American Crime Story: Versace and we are all supposed to bring 90s themed foods and I'm coming up blank.

Can anyone think of anything? Those pinwheel sandwiches are the only thing I can think of.

Cosmos to drink? Beaujolais Nouveau? I know the BN is a lot older but I didn't start drinking it until the 90s.

Thanks for any help!

Molten lava cake and Chinese chicken salad is what I think of when I think of the 90's.

They've brought Zima back on the market, right? Maybe something with sundried tomatoes and balsamic vinegar?

Are you sure there is a party with Versace family? Versace will bring dishes to the party? He is dead since 1997...
American Crime Story’ On Gianni Versace’s Death Is Fiction, Family Says:
“The Versace family has neither authorized nor had any involvement whatsoever in the forthcoming TV series.”

The OP didn't say that the party is with the Versace family. Just that his friend (the host) was friends with Versace.

The post could have benefitted from quotation marks or a comma though.

From an article in Epicurious (emphasis mine)

"the decade's' biggest food trend focused on "all things Tuscan and Italian, from panini and balsamic vinegar to the espresso coffee culture that hit the decade like a big foamy wave." Meanwhile, the decade brought about the mainstreaming of pad Thai, the bizarrely wonderful reign of white chocolate, and the rise of the evil-genius flavor combination kiwi-strawberry."
