I've heard many people say they taste like chicken, but my cousin says they don't. Also, where can I get good frog legs in a place not too far from Dover, Ohio? I really want to try them.

I think so. After MANY years of trying I finally got the hubby to try them... he looked surprised and said... "Whoa! They taste like chicken!"

funny story: many years ago when my father was young and his sister was just about 9 or 10...(they are 12 years apart)
my father loves to experiment with food. he decided that he would cook frog legs, and so he did and fed them to little sister. they both ate and when they were done, he asked if she knew what she just ate?
when she found out, she started to scream! when my grandmother (God bless her) found out--she threw away the pan--lol
i guess they do taste like chicken...

I have eaten bbq frog legs, and they tasted just like chicken drum sticks. But if you bite into the small bones you will get a fishy taste. That was my exp.

My S-I-L loves them-I have never tried them. Can't get myself to eat anything that looks like mini pantyhose.

Growing up. my brother and I used to spend the whole day catching frogs and fish at the lake near our home. Then our dad would clean the frogs and fish and batter dip them and we'd have a fish/frog leg fry. They really, really do taste like chicken, I swear! The best tasting, and meatiest, are bull frogs.

Default Sorta

I think they taste like a combination of chicken and mild fish. The texture is similar to chicken, though, more so than fish.

If you fry them at home, watch out! The tendons in their legs contract and they can "hop" right out of the pan!!

I like them alot!

If they taste like chicken, why not just stick with eating chicken?
