On another thread I was adamant with mainebroker that it was impossible to find a loss leader such as Turkey under $1 a pd in my neck of the woods in Indianapolis.

Well, never say never because I walked into my favorite grocery store and there it was!

A whole flat of Turkeys for 59 cents a pound.

Mr. Broker did you call them up and give them your piece of mind?!
'
Too bad I do not have a large family or we would be having Turkey this weekend!

Karma is a very strange thing. I said it could not would not happen here and Viola!

Buy one, cook one freeze portions for meals.

But one, freeze it uncooked, and save it for a big family dinner.

Love turkey and sometimes you can find great bargains on frozen, marked-down turkeys.

Me too, times such as this I would really appreciate having a stand alone freezer. I could get one and then what? It is just me.

Not kidding, I truly prefer turkey over chicken.

Me too, my freezer is chock full so I could not fit a turkey in there with a vise. I stand alone freezer would be awesome!

It is snowing AGAIN I could put it outside but then the animals, which we have bobcat, hawks, owls, deer and bears in this neck of the woods so that wouldn't work very well.

The chipmunks, however, do not eat that much.

But then we also have buzzards...or vultures, if you will. See them circling just like the hawks come twilight.
