Just made a mince pie today. I LOVE them, as does my sister. Most people have strong opinions, IMO, mostly against, more so than other pies. So I'm taking a scientific poll.

I love mince pie, but it is not generally popular in my family, so I almost never have it.

When I first moved to the little city I'm in now none of my co-workers had any idea what a mince pie was or what it tasted like. I thought that was pretty unusual.

My grandmother used to make them and we were all from West Tennessee/North Mississippi. I don’t think it’s a regional thing. Maybe it’s more of a generational thing

I was made to eat mincemeat pie as a child. Nobody can make me eat it now!

I love Mince Pies, as long as they are good quality or home made.

Mince Pies are very much a part of Christmas in the UK.

Fruit cake and mince pies are horrible memories from the past. Now being a native Floridian, I'll take a key lime pie or key lime cheese pie any time, with pecan running a close second. You can't make a key lime pie with out key limes!

Growing up the only pies we ever had on Thanksgiving and Christmas were pumpkin and mince meat. I thought mince meat was weird so stuck to pumpkin. Once, as an adult, I made a real mince meat pie from scratch. Spoiled brat was in 7th heaven, so was his mom. I don't think anyone else liked it. If I remember right I thought of giving the left overs to the dog but was afraid he might give it right back to me

Mince pie is something I always make for Christmas. Our family is English, so I guess that’s why. Kind of the same flavor as plum pudding, so i wouldn’t serve both.
