Has anyone else noticed that their milk is now staying fresh way, way after the stamped expiration date? I’m having breakfast with milk that was stamped 4/21 and it is still 100% fine, not even slightly off. This also happened with the previous container. Before this, I was lucky if it was still fresh a day or two after the sell by/use by date, not two weeks!
I am wondering if with the huge general rush in grocery shopping, this milk somehow moved through the supply line more quickly, so it spent less time in storage somewhere along the line.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I’m asking partly because we also turned our fridge to a colder setting a little while ago (can’t remember exactly when), so it would make sense that it would keep the milk fresher longer, but two weeks longer? Really?
So, is it my fridge? Or just fresher milk from the store? Or maybe both?
My experience is that milk stays fresh for about seven days past the "expiration" date. However, that can be impacted by poor handling throughout the supply chain. When I buy a gallon of milk, half is frozen immediately so that a gallon lasts 3-4 weeks.

I've seldom gotten even that much. I agree, I think a lot of it is poorly handled in the various warehouses and shipping processes along the way. Esp at the store in those open front coolers. They don't keep product nearly as cold as it should be.
It is probably your fridge. The colder you keep it the longer it will last. Also, the organic milk seems to last longer.
Yes, I've found this to be true in my case. My refrigerator gets so cold that common items are getting half frozen. I'm sure I can change the settings, but I don't mind. And if its helping keep things fresher for longer, that's all fine by me
