Buy FRESH okra and you won't encounter the sliminess. Or you can grow your own.

i don't eat meat at all anymore, but before i stopped eating all meat, i could not eat steak or roast or turkey due to the texture. i remember even as a kid chewing and chewing and chewing. yuk. and then spitting it out and trying to hide it in my napkin. i could not understand what the big fuss everybody made over something so dry and gross, either that or oozing blood on the plate. ick

Milk. I can eat any kind of cheese until I'm blue in the face, but I can't stand the feel of plain milk or cream in my mouth. Makes no sense, I know.

Are corn and wheat the same thing? No? Then neither are grits and cream of wheat.

I can't think of any. I don't have any texture aversions in general other than not especially liking to handle chalk. If I don't like a food, it's always a flavor issue.

The only one was liver, but I always had the gravy because I loved the flavour. That was when I was a kid.

Some 28 years later, when I was pregnant, I craved it. My father-in-law cooked it for me, and he sliced it really finely before frying it and that was all I needed. Since then it's been a huge favourite.
