I suddenly was remembering that I'd heard that peanut butter has caffeine. I was wondering if I could try a handful of peanuts instead of a cup of coffee.

A serving (2 tbs) of peanut butter has 200 cals, a fourth cup (handful) of peanuts has 200 cals. A teaspoon to a gallon or more of coffee has zero cals. If peanut butter and peanuts have caffeine, you may want to stick with the coffee (although I would MUCH PREFER the peanut butter or nuts, I would have to take the coffee).
