1. Homemade Turkey Corn Pie (made with leftover Christmas turkey) or Chicken Corn Pie (preferably made with frozen local sweet corn from the summer)
2. Shepherd's Pie, made with real mashed potatoes from scratch, smothered with brown gravy, and peas on the side
3. Pennsylvania Dutch Chicken Pot Pie, made with homemade pot pie dough FROM SCRATCH. This is not a "pie" per se, it is more like a chicken and dumpling stew, with flat square noodles added to the broth. My mother makes homemade Pa. Dutch turkey pot pie for us the day after Thanksgiving, and we look forward to it as much as we do the Thanksgiving dinner.
