Many sites say black/brown flesh in avocado flesh is OK to eat.
Here I got one with not just black/brown color flush but also many black/brown CAVITIES. Is it OK to eat everything including the flesh around the cavities? I had eaten avocado with small "cracks" in the flush but this one is unusually big, so I am wondering.
Yeah, that stuff is not much eye pleasing, but it's edible. Really black, mushy spots must be discarted. Don't wait that long to consume your avocado. They are too expensive to waste. https://www.eatortoss.com/brown-dots...-your-avocado/
Yes, you can eat it. I typically scoop out the black parts like those "cavities" because the texture is a little different. Black/brown from bruising I usually eat because it doesn't have that slightly firmer skin to it.
