I do mine in the toaster oven - make sure the top doesn't touch the element of course. Cover the edges w/ small strips of foil, as usual w/a toaster oven, go w/about a 25 degree lower temp. than the directions.
The cooking directions warn not to use a toaster oven when heating. What would happen if you did put one in a toaster oven?
You might run the risk of not getting the center of the pie properly cooked, raising the possibility of food poisoning.
There's a difference between temperature and energy. A smaller toaster oven might hit 400°F, but not have enough energy to fully thaw and cook the pot pie within the 60 minutes cited for cooking in a conventional oven.
Lawyers probably required that the toaster oven warning be put onto the package to avoid lawsuits from people with underpowered toaster ovens.

That was my thought. Just lower the temperature and monitor with a thermometer. TV dinners in general seem to turn out better in an oven than they do in a microwave.

Nothing much.
Make sure you have clearance between the pie and the top heating element. If your oven has multiple rack locations, use the lower one.

The pie filling already is cooked before it's frozen, so food poisoning wouldn't be an issue unless you've allowed the pie to defrost on the kitchen counter overnight.
I’ve only cooked them in the oven. The crust comes out so good, I’d hate to experiment. Has anyone bought one lately? I think the quality has gone way down. They’ve gone from 16 oz to 15 oz too.
