Do unopened store-bought spaghetti noodles go bad?

I've never had dry pasta go "off". But I have found some bugs/larva in the box if it had been sitting around too long. Same with rice mixes. Never had one go off, but the random bug gets in if kept too long.

I had to look up 'pantry moth' as I had never heard of it. It looks like the larvae weave a little whitish fuzzy cocoon, I bet that a few of those in a box would resemble a dust bunny.

If pastas are in the shelves too long past their expiration dates they won't cook through anymore. I've certainly had that experience where the pasta no longer cook through and remain solid. I think the pasta no longer can expand in water anymore.
