We had our Thanksgiving a week early: turkey and dressing with giblet gravy, alternate entree was Swedish meatballs with noodles, sweet potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls, some kind of greens I tried and didn't like, once again proving I just don't like collard or turnip greens, macaroni and cheese, and peach pie!

Family's going to do turkey, mashed potatoes, corn casserole, green bean casserole, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, twist rolls, tea, apple cider, and pumpkin pie.

Just DH and I....bought an 18lb trurkey....we really like leftovers. That turkey will be a lot of work though. I have a crazy idea...instead of mashed, I was thinking baked potato...wondering how that would be with gravy on it. Yea or nay?

There a ton of recipes online. I just go by the recipe on the can, & use fake sugar instead of real sugar, up the spices, I also use almond milk instead of the canned stuff, that has too many calories. POur into a greased dish & bake. Same as the pie but no crust.

Why not? Just do what you want, please yourself. Gravy is good on every kind of potato, except fried ( I like mine crispy)

I am adding one new addition to my feast. My husband has requested Oyster stuffing. I will make a small pan of that

We've been invited to our daughter's In-Laws for Thanksgiving - not sure what they will have. I am bringing Cheese Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes, Deviled Eggs, and 2 Pecan pies. Pecans from my MIL's tree that she has always given us. I have to go thru them and get the shells out tonight. Also, I use pre-made pie crust. I'm a bad pie crust maker. It will be a nice day.

Pan con Pavo.

Some pumpkin pie for dessert. We keep it simple.

We are going to niece's (posted earlier) and asked to bring dessert.
So it's apple pie made by husband and pecan squares by me.
So great not to be housecleaning right about now and thinking about cooking.
