As far as I know and from what I've read, you can't buy Sailor Boy Pilot Bread in the states. I love this stuff with velveeta cheese and a slice of bologna. Here's a blog all about this wonderful cracker.

Y'know, before I clicked the link I could see the drawing of the sailor boy in my memory...!! Where did I eat these in my childhool? New York? New England? They're very hard, very brittle, right?
I never got to Alaska until this century! And I never ate them in Fairbanks or on the Haul Road.

i have never even heard of Pilot bread but you guys make it sound so delicious! especially with all those toppings you guys are mentioning

they are nothing fancy, just huge crackers originally designed for sailors

ships biscuts


also goes good with some canned sardines, smoked sprats, canned Kipper [ smoked herring]
