I wasn't sure where to post this, but I thought I could get some good opinions here. I'm looking for recommendations for a good 12 Qt. stockpot. I had an old Revereware stock pot but, the new ones aren't made as the same. They're just not as heavy and the copperclad on the bottomi s thin. I don't care for anodized aluminum. I prefer stainless or enamel. Thanks

It's expensive but the best is Le Creuset. Opinions may vary.

Yes, they do! Amazon runs sales on them during the holidays and sometimes I can find pieces on Craigslist. Also, sometimes Williams Sonoma has pieces on sale. That stuff lasts for years and years.

If you want the best.

I don't have one yet, but it's on my list. I keep hoping I'm going to luck out and find one for cheap at a garage sale.

msina...have you tried the Metro Kitchen website (they often ship for free)? Lots of stainless steel cookware brands - most of which have life-time guarantees. I used to have Paul Revere, too, but the quality as you say, is just not the same anymore.

Some of the items are spendy, but not anymore than if you were to buy a fifteen piece set of something or other, as opposed to a few select pieces that you can hand down to your kids.

Plus, you can link up with some very interesting reads on where - and of what - some of the more mainstream brands are made. I'd go All-Clad or Viking if I could!
