Wow, there have been lots of good ideas posted.
Why don't you also ask everyone at the office to write down their ideas and then put all of the ideas in a bowl or box. Whenever it is 'Birthday' time....have someone draw a ticket with one of the ideas on them. Then you won't even have to decide who gets what.

I used to work for a glass company that had a shop there in Louisiana and they sent us one of these!
We then started a game of hide the king. Who every got the king had to bring in a desert the next month.

We had so many cool desserts and it lasted a couple years.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake.

Our my fave I'm getting ready to do for Superbowl and my daughter actually REQUESTED it for her 14th birthday - NUTELLA PIZZA! YUM!

Pizza Crust dough in the biscuit section. Put it on a pizza pan like you would any other pizza. Spread Nutella on it and bake. After it comes out you can cut it and top each piece w/ some Whipped Cream. This year I'm adding sliced bananas and strawberries to it after it comes out of the oven THEN the whipped cream

"momof2dfw-Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake."

I second this, it is absolutely delicious and easy to make.

At my work, we used to do the birthday cake thing and then it got expensive. So now we do a quarterly celebration. Next month we are gettin' subs from Lenny's. mmmm
