This is a thread for lovers of foods with chocolate. im curious how much you ever pigged out on.
I once ate 3 large chocolate bars then 2 packets of chocolate marshmallows. Once I open the packet I find it hard to stop till the packet is finished.

1 pound of these in one day. Then, the next day I ate the second pound.

See's candy is my heroin. I am powerless.

Oooo love See's pecan buds!

Not sure how much chocolate I've ever eaten in a day. I have quite the capacity for sweet treats OR chips, though

Step away from the box of See's Candy, please.

I REPEAT... step AWAY from the See's Candy.

I've been known to eat two bars at once, no biggie. Most of the time, Snickers and Reese. I love, love, love, the Godiva biscuit, cookie things, with chocolate. I could eat the whole first layer. I've also had the king size, Hershey w/Almond bar. I've only been able to eat half of that bar though. Usually coffee, or cold, cold water, must follow, or accompany.

I received that exact box for valentine's day, but I couldn't eat the candies.
I believe they may have been stale. They were hard as a rock; the centers were too tough to chew. The chocolate coating had a white powder on it, like the bloom on a grape.
I asked my coworker if she thought the candies were moldy, but she said no; she said that when chocolate is refrigerated or frozen and then defrosted, it gets that white powdery film on it.
So I tried to eat them, really I did, but they didn't taste good, and the toughness of them was unbearable. I thought I'd break a tooth, or wear out my jaw muscles trying to chew them.

I must say, I was really disappointed, because I'd always heard See's candy was good. These ones were in a white box, just like in your picture, and it said "See's Old Fashioned Candies".

I'll never get tangled up with those again, you can be sure.

Definitely sounds like you were given old candy.

I've never had to deal with what you described. I've always lived within a few miles of one of their stores, so I only know the fresh stuff. I always order them custom hand packed while I stand there.

Harry & David's truffles. Their packaging is all single-serving, contrary to what it says on the label LOL!

Or homemade fudge. YUM! I only make it at the holidays because "see fudge will eat fudge" leads to "would weigh 3,000 pounds if I did this every day".

And of course what goes best with chocolate is wine. ;-)

I've eaten so much chocolate in one sitting that I had to seriously find a fiber source the next week.
