Looking at getting an over the range convection microwave to have in place of second oven. Looking for opinions as to if this is a good option or not. Thanks
I've wondered about these also, when looking at RVs with convection/microwave ovens in them (and no regular oven). Are you able to bake in them like a regular convection oven? I'm just not sure how they work.
I don't cook anything in a microwave, but most people love it, and those microwaves get really great reviews. Best Over-the-Range Microwaves - Editor's Picks
The question is: are you going to use it a lot? More than an regular oven? Try to determine how much you will use your microwave in a normal meal prep, and how often you would actually benefit from not being able to use it in favor of using a small oven (sheet pans, and many pots and pans won't fit in there). You can't cook more than one item at a time in there. And it gets really hot when used in convection mode, and you can't use the microwave until you are done with it, and it cools down.
