Interesting and scary, but it doesn't surprise me.

i disagree- many vegan's are already aware of these things. imo, this article is more for the general public who choose to consume meat.

My point is, this is their kind of fuel!! But, as a meat eater I can take both sides. I'm not that sensitive.

I'm already making a conscious effort to buy more organic and sustainably raised meat.
I am trying to cut back on my red meat consumption. It's a battle but it's worthwhile.
I don't think I can completely go vegetarian and I sure as hell can't go vegan.

I think less subsidies to big agriculture would be a tremendous help and I loved the idea of putting people to work on the farm. I remember milking a goat a few years back. I don't see why I couldn't milk a cow. Working on a farm is honest work and I think a lot of people wouldn't mind it. That would surely help with the unemployment rate.

Take both sides???? What do you mean?
This is not a vegan vs meat eaters issue, this is an issue of corporate farming practices vs ethical, sustainable farming practices.

I simply meant I can listen to both sides of the argument in the meat eater verses vegan thing. I didn't read all 5 pages of the article. Reading the first paragraph or two it's clear they're railing on pork, farming and other industries. Seeing the Op appears to have one friend only who appears to be a staunch Vegan or vegetable only supporter.. I'm thinking this article, especially placed in normal food forum is a poke in the eye for non vegans. Go to the vegan forum and listen to the nonsense. Don't say anything bad or poke fun in any way at tofu uses.

Lets all go organic and see how many people in this country starve... You could not raise enough food that way to feed 300 million people. And most of the organic stuff you buy now is probably not really that organic in the first place.

Now what did I do with my plate of bacon?
