That's the one! The bookstore person actually talked me out of the New Orleans Junior League cookbook because they said it wasn't as authentic but more touristy. I'm so glad I listened!

I cook with it all the time!

Springfield, Illinois is also known for "chilli" (yes, it's spelled correctly - an extra 'L').

I'd have to say they got it right with Oregon's ... marionberry pie. Yum! And I don't really like many pies. My favorite ice cream is Tillamook Marionberry pie, which is essentially marionberry pie, just really heavy on the ala mode.

But yeah, they're wrong about the Cincinnati chili. I love it. But the Chicago deep-dish pizza? You can have it.

Besides cheese curds, Wisconsin is also known for bratwurst and brandy old fashions. Plenty of people out here in South Dakota and MN eat brats too though. Of course a favorite of mine is the Wisconsin fish fry, and smelt fries in the spring.

South Dakota... known for pheasants which are actually introduced into the state and yes, they are everywhere around here.
