Hickory NC :We are paying $4.29. Has it gone up all over, or is this another expensive thing about NC?

$2.39 in Cleveland. About a month ago it was right around $2.19.
I've noticed it as high as $3.50 around here.

The increase is a reflection of the outrageous increase in gas prices needed for transporting.
So we're not only getting gouged at the pumps but also in the dairy case
and pretty much everything else thanks to the oil industry!

Were seeing the result of corn being diverted from the food chain into fuel production. Beef prices have been going up as well.

$2.39 for 2% this week but has been as high as $3.00 gal in IN. Corn going to the ethanol plants is hurting the food prices. Gas was $2.59 for regular unleaded which is a lot cheaper than it has been.

I only buy half gallons which are around 2.50 I think. This is in Michigan. There was a sign posted on the dairy case that stated that the higher prices are due to a milk shortage. Maybe the cows went on strike.

I use to live in MI but shopped in Toledo, so I went to the Kroger ad to check their price on milk...they are advertising it 2/$5 a gallon this week.

Wonder which cows went on strike? Liz
