I am making a sausage tortellini soup for tomorrow (leaving out the tortellini until then) and also a turtle pumpkin pie......both being brought to a dinner party with friends. They do the birds

Smile Are you going to "deep fry" your Turkey..

Wanted to do a poll but not sure how to do it..

How many deep fry their turkey vs. how many cook it in the over or roaster?

Or, BBQ or other different ways to cook the ole bird..

Happy trails..

Starting to get that roast turkey smell..

Not this year but I do like them better done that way. More moist inside than when baked.

I've snapped my beans and sauteed the mushrooms and will finish the casserole tomorrow to bring over to friends house for dinner

I never could understand why my mom used to put the turkey in the oven at 5 in the morning. We didn't eat until the late afternoon Maybe the turkey's were different back then

My contribution is homemade lemon bars made with lemons from my trees. Just took them out of the oven.

Going home from work at 3:30. Will spend the evening making my dressing and pies. Two pumpkin, one butterscotch, one banana cream.

I will rise and put the bird in the oven at 5am. We eat at 1:00.
