So if you are eating Mexican food do you need to pile sour cream on it? My SIL frosts me! We go out to eat and she orders an appetizer and totally pours sour cream all over it I have never seen any one person eat this much sour cream and at 400 pounds she should back off a bit. Anybody agree with this statement
Yuck. Mexican food needs cilantro, lime, onion, garlic, and hopefully some avocado. I don't need cheese, sour cream, or any deep-fried junk with mine. (well, maybe a few totopos de maiz.. it's authentic, right? )
Ha ha she won't eat guac She claims it bothers her GERD. So in Mexico do they serve heaps of sour cream? I have not traveled to Mexico
Small amounts of a light condiment called "crema" is added to really hearty/spicy foods sometimes, but not always. It's not as thick and rich as what we think of as sour cream.
I can't think of a Mexican dish that uses sour cream. Most Restaurants in this town serve Mexican cuisine! I personally love sour cream though on many things!! It wouldn't be good for anyone to eat a lot of I'm sure!
