Could be someone working for a dealership and doing some repairs on his own at his house garage...

He would not be so honest if he worked @ night at his house doing side jobs.
In most cases it is not legal to run a business out of your home.
But I do agree, the Dealership Techs seem the best. There are a lot of good private shops,
they are usually only as good as the last year the worked @ the dea

amtex - I wouldn't advise you letting someone who is working from home to take care of your car. Believe me, from my experience, when you will have issues you will find out why warranty is very important.

Thanks for advise guys. Could you suggest some private shop with reasonable prices and honest tech? I have an issue with a suspension of Ford Explorer 2003 V6 RWD

Truck suspension is fairly simple. What's your issue?

There are two things. I am not sure if they connected somehow.

- Occasional rough noise at steady speeds of 35-60 mph. It can show up both during the acceleration and when I'm just cruising. The noise disappear as soon as I take off my foot of a throttle. The noise itself is similar to the noise that you get when you change lanes on a road and cross those raised pavement marks or Bott's dots that separate the lanes. The vibration comes with it but not that strong as you get it when crossing lane marks.

The noise appeared for the first time about a year ago. It would come out once in a week, then once in a day and now it appears several times a day.

- Permanent pulsing low noise coming from the rear wheels (not sure which one or may be both of them are involved). The pulsing accelerates with the increasing speed. It sounds like a rough plastic part rubs a cloth. To hear this noise I have to turn off the radio.

Good info, but I only have guesses as to what is causing those issues. I'm sure other more knowledgeable people will chime in.
