I'm thinking about buying a new truck and I have narrowed it down to two brands Ford and GMC. Here are two Trucks in my area that I like both are base models.

Ford

I like the ford F-150 but both are good choices in trucks I guess it comes down to who can give you the best deal and which one you like best. both are great but ford has a slight edge in fit and finish while the GM has a bit more power but both are pretty even overall. take both out for a good test drive and see how you like how it drives and the ride. since both trucks a 2WD and base model with none of the typical power options these two trucks shuld last a very long time with just your basic maintaince my 91 F250 was used and abused off road and used for towing masssive trailers on long trips through the mountains passes and it still runs great 20 years later.

The GMC has a little more chrome, looks better and has a little more power. I'd go with the GMC. Although the Ford truck would be a great truck as well.

I'd choose the GMC but you really can't go wrong with either one. Like these guys said, take them both for a spin and see which one you prefer.

Why not get a Chevy and get the exact same truck as the GMC for cheaper?

Other than that, go GM.

I prefer Ford, but like everyone else has said, try them both

Just bought a Ford. No obama motors for me. Was shopping for an XL supercrew but ended up with an XLT. See if you can get the limited slip rear; it's worth the extra few bucks.

The GMC is certainly going to be the nicer truck overall but the Ford is the more practical option. Neither is a poor choice, all depends on how you want your money spent.
