SO how exactly did BofA come to bring foreclosure on a house the bank never had a loan on. That is what I want to know.
Stupidity and outright fraud. These were the guys who were putting dead people's signatures on sworn affidavits and then had the nerve to feign offense when the government dropped the hammer on them. They are almost as bad as the debt collection industry.

If I were the couple and lawyer I wouldn't have just accepted the check. I would have followed through and removed all the furniture, computers, and cash and told the bank they need to submit a formal request to the judge to get their stuff back.
I bet the bank doesn't even discipline those on the BOA legal team that ignored the judges orders.
