Can someone recommend safe apartment options in Fort Collins? We would prefer to obviously be somewhere safe and be away from college kids if possible. The cheaper the better, but we could go as high as $1600 a month if we must.

Oh, those dangerous college kids; always busy pillaging and threatening others

You could look on the east side of town (east of Lemay), west side (west of Taft Hill), or the south side (south of Harmony) to keep yourself away from most of the kids. But be warned: some still reside throughout the city. No general apartments will be "college-kid free"

Maybe a retirement home or senior living complex? Loveland and Windsor will also put your farther from the young hoodlums.

Rents might run towards the upper end of your range.

Please explain better.

If, by chance you’re talking about how an apartment complex can sound like a barking dog kennel, we have that here sometimes. Very annoying, but when a complex is “dog friendly”, that opens the place up to much more than a small “yelp” from a Shih Tzu pup.

Last indication, the OP was aiming for NC. But the messages ominously came to an end last Halloween

So, they chose NC over FC after all. Wife and I didn’t like NC that much. Did like the casino in Cherokee however. Would take Colorado any day over NC!
