Hi ALL!!!

I am looking to move with my husband and 3y baby girl to FL from NJ. Mainly because the life expenses here.

At the moment we are not sure where. Orlando was the option but we gave up because of crime level, pollution; even though south of Orlando towards Kissimmee doesn't look bad. I have never been there so I need every valuable advice.
At the moment I am reviewing Coral Springs - seams ok. Crime level is low, it's small community and close to Ft. L. (bigger place).
For employment info, I guess I can always find some job as admin, and my husband is truck driver (owns truck) any suggestions?

Thanks a million to ALL
B & G

P.S. I am 24 going on the college (online) and working full time - my husband is 50! Looking for someting that will fit us!

I think there are people frm other parts of FL who live in places much more affordable than Coral Springs.

A truck driver and and admin asst with a child wouldn't really be able to do it unless they are grossing at least $70,000 or more with very little debt. The average 2-bedroom rental is $1200-1400 a month and homes average $373,000.

Just an opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

Coral Springs and all the surrounding areas are expensive. Our friends are in Deerfield Beach and their home is a toy box compared to what we have over here on the West Coast for less money.

I was coyly trying to send her in your direction . I don't think South FL is really for families, no matter how nice the area. The suburbs here are RIDICULOUSLY expensive.

I'm 26 and live in Coral Springs with my fiance and our 4 year old twins and I wouldn't live anywhere else in South Florida. It's a clean, safe city with a lot of families with children. It is, however, pretty pricey. For other good areas that may be more affordable I would check out the Port St. Lucie area. Also, if you were considering the West coast, check out Cape Coral.

I think the original poster ditched this thread last year after hearing the excessive negativity produced about an otherwise very good but expensive city.
