Coral Springs and Parkland are great places to live and raise a family. I don't see the love affair people have with Weston and Cooper City, they are nice but I can list several problems with them. Coral Springs is twice the size of Weston in population therefore you should expect a little more problems.

We are looking to spend around $550,000 for a home but can go up if we have too.
I need your help with the following:
1.Can anyone recommend gated communities in Parkland or Coral Springs that are very family oriented, newer, and have a community pool etc.
2.Can anyone recommend a jewish temple that has private kindergarten for my son to start in the fall. We are reform.
I am really looking for a community that is newer, gated, and has a ton of kids playing outside and very friendly.
Also, if there is another town that you would recommend I would appreciate all advice. I was told that parkland or coral springs matches what I am looking for.
Thanks so much for your help. I am very excited about this move but of course nervous at the same time.
Thanks
Parkland and the nicer areas of Coral Springs are mostly family oriented. You really have to look at the individual developments yourself to see which ones you like. Coral Springs and Parkland also have sizeable Jewish populations and you will not have trouble finding places to send your son to preschool. I don't know if the jewish preschools have kindergarden in that area as I have not lived in that part of Broward.

I would not worry about gangs in the Parkland schools. While there may be a handful of gang kids there the vast majority of kids in Parkland and the nicer areas of CS are not going to be gang members.

I also like Weston if you want to use the public schools. People recommend Weston and Cooper City as if they are similar but if you are looking for an upscale area (like Parkland) Cooper City really does not fit the bill. It is not as upscale as Weston.

Thanks everyone for all of your insights. We have decided to go with Heron Bay in Parkland. We are very excited and can't wait for the move. I appreciate all of your responses and help!
