Are there any clothing optional boating locations in and around Fort Lauderdale and Miami? We have the boat, but not the local knowledge of great spots. We want to be respectful of the many families, etc, that are boating out there and do not want to just "sun our stuff" where we might make others uncomfortable. So any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Drop your anchor in front of Haulover Beach, outside of the swim buoys, in front of the pink lifeguard towers.

@Ruski, I assume you mean beach side and not on the bayside? Is there a nude section on the Bayside as well?

Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami are very heavily populated areas.

If you want to boat nude, do it offshore where no one will see you.

Boating is a very family friendly activity around here. Plus, you will get arrested for public nudity/indecent exposure if the cops see you.

Yes, I would recommend staying offshore if you plan to do this in the South Florida (Miami/Fort Lauderdale) area. The entire area, although having a spring break/party connotation is actually very family friendly. Like mentioned above, I would recommend taking your boat to a spot in Biscayne Bay or the ocean where you are a good ways from shore and anchor up. If boats come near you at that point its on them. My main suggestion would to be far enough from land children are not able to just stare...
