Greetings! Just moved from Orlando, FL to Miramar, FL due to a job opportunity. I am currently staying in a hotel as I await for my apartment to be ready in Miramar Lakes apartment (10720 N Preserve Way Miramar FL 33025). I’m completely new to the South Florida scene so I wanted to know if I picked a good location and what neighborhoods to avoid. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

It's a pretty decent area. It'll take you a little time to find things, but that's normal when you go somewhere new. But yes, it's a safe, newer area and a short drive to all sorts of stuff. I imagine most of the time you would head a couple blocks up to Pines Blvd. There is the mall, just west of that is Pembroke Gardens (outdoor restaurant/shopping, popular), Whole Foods, Costco, etc. etc. etc. Tons and tons of stuff in that area.
