Broward County has NOT posted any Updates regarding the current crisis in three days!

Broward.org: Coronavirus

WTF!? They should be on this 7 days a week keeping everyone informed until it shows signs of slowing down!

BTW: have you seen the public officials responsible for managing this crisis and keeping us safe? Very unimpressive - very concerning!!!

That is bad news. I’m not good at attaching links but if you google Florida Coronavirus you should see an article that’s just a few hours old.

There’s 16 new cases in Broward; the governor is sending in the National Guard to help staff drive through testing booths. Sadly not all the cases are travel-related and it appears you all have community spread.

I was scheduled to see clients in Broward this week and practically all of them asked to cancel. Some were concerned for me; I’d be coming down from Gainesville.

We have 4 so far in Alachua County; 1 resident and it was travel related and the other 3 were visiting our area and are from Georgia, New York and Europe.

Take care of yourself. Be careful.

I do look at other websites for the latest info re COVID but you would think that our own local authorities would want to keep their constituents informed and safe. But nooooo... these are the same incompetent, do-nothing Usual Suspects that regularly screw up Elections and bungle mass shootings!

At least our new Governor is taking action and informs the public!

Here in South Florida we have to worry not only about potential risks entering through our international airports, but we also have the two largest cruise ports in the world. And you already know how frequently the cruise ships have problems with viruses.

Up in Gainesville I would think you have to worry whether all the 1000's of students coming into Hogtown came from a 'hot' zone.

You stay safe as well up there in the Swamp (fellow Gator here)

Go Gators back at ya! Yep, they sent the students home to take classes remotely. Effective this past week. Any student that can’t go home, for whatever reason, can remain on campus but still will take classes remotely.

K-12 closed. (I think this is statewide?).

I can hardly wait for this to pass.

The Wharf - the restaurant? I was talking about the Port, which is a much bigger worry.

The last Update on Broward.org regarding Port Everglades was on March 4, almost two weeks ago!, that screenings were being conducted by US Customs and Border Protection. I guess that's how they caught the majority of new cases here in Broward.

Well, Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale have just closed the beaches (main, not all) until April 12th to get rid of the Spring Breakers. And all bars and restaurants will be closing at 10PM.

The Wharf is a massive bar that attracts about 5000 at a time on the water in Fort Lauderdale. It has food trucks.
