Currently live in Parkland with the family and used to live in Weston .. we love both places ... far from the beach is all relative ... in Atlanta you are far from the beach ( five hours ) in Parkland , Weston or Coral Springs maybe 20-25 minutes on a weekend morning . That is not far at least in my opinion

Well the price range you are looking to spend is good.....you will get something very, very nice.....you have to remember " visiting " and " moving " are two different animals......both times I " visited " here I loved it....beach, beach and more beach.....then after I moved here.....beach became less and less....lol....you know....when you are not on vacation you have to work, do laundry, clean, shop etc.........it's not the same !!!!!! Oh, and be prepared for LONG HOT HOT summers......and lots of not so nice people........public schools in south Florida are theeeeeeeeeeeeee worst ever !!!!! Do your research.....other than that....if you still plan on moving down I wish you and yours the best....

That's not really going to happen. You can spend in that range and be about 25-30 to the beach with good schools (for Fl). The house will be small but in a good neighborhood. If you need to be near the beach that price range will put you in areas with bad schools.

don't move down without a job for at least one of you ..and/or savings to last 6 months - 1 year.

best.

Again, as I told you before the cities I gave you are the ones with the best schools. Please take into consideration that the Schools in Florida are not great to begin with, so putting your kids into a B or C rated school is doing them a disservice.
