I think the question would be , which communities do not have sidewalks .. the only ones that come to mind are Captiva Cay which is lovely and is right on Country Isles Park . Only the older communities do not have sidewalks ... again the majority do have sidewalks . Yes Isles of Weston and Savanna both have many renters .. I would look in The Meadows , The Lakes , The Falls , The Islands , The Landings and Hibiscus Island .

Weston is an upscale suburb with new tract single family homes with high taxes and insurance costs that you need your car for to go anywhere. Most of the mall-type stores are a 20 minute drive south or north. They go for a small town atmosphere wth fireworks on July 4 and pretty Christman lights. I can't think of 2 more different places actually.

Perhaps try picturing an upscale Levittown built within the last 10 years and you have Weston.

Have you ever seen Showtime's Weeds? That is also a Weston-type community.
FH....nah...

No Weston is not anything like Forest Hills (my aunt lives in Middle Village). Weston is much less urban than Forest Hills. It really is unlike anything in NYC.

It is more suburban. The streets have wide medians with trees and bushes planted in the median. The streets are also wide and flat with sidewalks and bike lanes in most places.

Savanna is large so there are a fair number of renters even though most of the homes are owner occupied. The lower priced homes have a higher percentage of renters than the higher priced ones.

There is a development right across from Tequesta Trace park (on Indian Trace, near St. Pauls church and Chabad) that has a very high percentage of renters. I cannot remember the name.

I have not seen any communities in Weston that are not kept up beautifully regardless of price or whether there are renters in the neighborhood. Weston is a very clean place to live.

I guess - I lived in Maryland as a kid and they had sidewalks too so, when I don't see them I feel like I'm in a rural place. I know that is psychological, but damn it, if I want to take a walk, can I have a sidwalk to do it on?
