Hi,

I am from Northern New York, 5 miles from Canada. I have been thinking about moving. Is there alot of need for Teachers Assistant with special needs at the Middle and High School level?

Thanks for any help that you can give me!

Your best bet is to check out Broward County Public Schools and keep your eyes open on the job openings. The easiest way to get in with a teaching job is by substitute teaching. They often hire permanent positions from subs who are known and trusted within that school. (That's how I got hired initially!) Subbing in Broward also offers reliable work, (at least it did 6 years ago when I was in the system) and you get phone calls every morning from Sub Central that you can either accept or deny. There is information on how to become a Sub in Broward on the website. Good luck!
