Hi I noticed in many forums, older and more recent, the unemployment rate of Ft. Myers/Cape Coral is spoken of in similar terms~ relatively high unemployement rates. Is this both white and blue collar, entry-level and educated jobs? How hard is it going to be to get a job? I care for the elderly currently....

I would think without too much personal knowledge that your field would be very easy to find work. As the population ages the desire for elderly to stay as independant as possible will be a big demand. If you are like a visiting nurse that could go to their houses every couple of days for a couple hours to help them bathe, give medications, monitor their health etc. I'd start with a couple phone calls to these types of companies to see what type of vacancies they have.

Don't move anywhere without a job. Not in this horrific economy.
