Kill it! Is it jumping? The pic isn't a good one, but have her google brown recluse and other poisonous spiders in FL. Call the apt complex and see if they have a contract with pest control.

It is a serious reply. Unfortunately the picture is not a good one so I can be sure. but it looks like a Tarantula, my wife had some as pets when I met her.

That is what she thinks too
After looking at photos she thought it might be a brown recluse. I looked up on another site and the Male Southern House Spider (not dangerous) is often confused with the brown recluse.
www.spiderzrule.com/housespider.htm I hope the link works for you. Please look all the way down the page at the male spiders. Do you think this could be it or do you still think the brown recluse?
She went to the management office and they said she had to wait until Monday.

Tell her to do what a normal person does ... take a newspaper and put it on the floor beside the spider, use a magazine to sweep/push the spider onto the newspaper ... then take the newspaper outside and shake the spider off.
