I will relocate to Lehigh high acres be the end of this month. What are the best, safest areas to consider? I am hearing horror stories about the area regarding crime and gangs. Any info would be much appreciated. thanks. :-)

Run a search on this forum. There are even some threads on the front page of the Fort Myers forum. Lehigh Acres is a very bad idea, no matter the area, no matter what anyone says. Period.

Run, Rasheed, run!! Run as fast as you can from Lehigh. Please do a lot of research about the area before you move there.

BTW - when you do the search, the area is called "Lehigh Acres" Not "Lehigh High Acres". (Though...that would be a more accurate description.)

Agree with what everyone else has told you DON'T MOVE THERE.

Actually, they should go so far east that they are no longer anywhere near Lehigh Acres...it's a dump.

Here is a web site that has crime rates by neighborhood for Lehigh Acres: Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

I don't have to live there to know there is crime there.

I do have friends who are LEOs and they themselves will tell you not to move there.

Read the local newspaper...do you think they are making this crap up?? Ummmm...no..they aren't...Lehigh is full of trash.

The violent crime in Lehigh is almost 3 times higher than the National average. I can't post you a link, because it will get a mod cut, but google it and you will see. Any town that has homes for sale on Ebay for less than $50k is probably a place to avoid. Lehigh has all the problems of a major city, but isn't one. Not sure what part you live in, but I have never heard anyone refer to Lehigh as a "Country Side."
