So when it's high season, it would take longer to get across the bridge to Ft. Myers? That is if you lived in Cape Coral?

The Cape coral - Fort Myers bridges are not to bad, traffic is not backed up that often unless there is an accident on the bridge itself.

Realtor and Urban Planner here... My .02C. IF living near a downtown is important to you (I'm sensing you'd appreciating some 'walkability'), I'd look to find you a place near mcgregor (if north, walk downtown, otherwise your walking option is east towards 41...what fun...) And some of the older homes near downtown fort myers. I'd also look at SE Cape, many of these neighborhoods (mentioned above, ex: Orchid) are quite walkable to a safe downtown 'South Cape' (grocery store would be a hike though).
