Hello,

Is there a central database website to search existing home sales that isn't connected to a realtor? I have searched and haven't been able to one?

Thanks.

Zillow.com Although I have heard it is not updated as well as a realtor. Listingbook is another one. Not sure if you have to be connected to a realtor for that one or not. In my experience, if you connect to a realtor they set you up and leave you alone. You just get daily automated emails with listing information.

I've found this site very useful for looking up solds and sale prices. The downside is that you need to have the exact address of the property(s) in question. Lee County Property Line?=

Listingbook.com. When you set up your account, they will ask you to link it to a Realtor, but you never really have any contact with them. They have the most current inventory, and information on listings.

I agree that Listingbook is definitely the best site to use as it has all the listings while the other real estate sites don't. I assume you are looking for something in SWF, which is covered by Listingbook--however Listingbook isn't available for all states.

Here is a sales search tool on the Lee county property appraiser's website:

Go to

Online Reports

(In case the link doesn't work, I found this page from the main page, www.leepa.org, by selecting Reports -> Reporting Tools.)

Read the Note (re up-to-dateness).

Click on Sales List Generator.

Enter your search criteria (you can select a town--e.g., Cape Coral--and a property type--e.g., single family home--as well as a date range and various other criteria).

Trulia, Zillow and other Search Engines are using older information, some of their "active" listed homes are long sold. I agree with the the other posters and would suggest listingbook.com.
this one is always current, it updates several times a day directly from the MLS

I used Listingbook to buy my condo 3 years ago and having been using it since then for other possible purchases... I love it.

Listingbook is the most current up to date site that is public. Realtor.com and Zillow have a lot of listing that's are expired. Truila is also another site to check out but a lot of the information is older.
