Give me a break! It doesn't take two hours to go 30 miles. If there's an accident on 75, she can just take 41.

I don't know, the commute to Cape Coral is complicated. The I-75 entrance is pretty far West. There is a lot of traffic there and lights take forever. I certaintly don't enjoy driving through that area. Tamiami trail would be a nightmare. Maybe not 2 hours but more than hour is quite possible.

If you need the money do it but try moving when your lease is up.

She's not commuting to Cape Coral, she's commuting to Naples from Cape Coral. And I-75 is East of Cape Coral, not West.

It is East, I always get those confused because I live on the East coast and think automatically West is inland. It is very far though. I know because I have done that trip with and without traffic many times and it is a pain to get to I-75 from Colonial Dr. and even worse from Cape Coral. It's very time consuming. Online distance calculators don't tell the whole story. Cape Coral has a lot of long traffic lights that are not synchronized and so does Tamiami trail.

Give me a break yourself! I just went through that a couple of weeks ago. Stuck in traffic on I-75 at 8 am, "accident" which was south of Corkscrew and no exit until you get to Immokalee. What is that 6 miles or so??? Then no way to get off and get back to 41, and yeah I left CC at 7:30 am to be in Downtown Naples by 9 am. So yeah a two hour drive if there's an accident.

Not to mention it's even worse in season when the snowbirds are out first thing for breakfast and shopping. Everyone knows they have to add another 30 minutes for the drive during season. It's why I like my job over by Edison Mall, I sit on the bridge for maybe 10 minutes and boom I'm at work.

if there's an accident it does and getting to 41 from 75 is a pain in the ass....more so when there's an accident.

Getting to 41 from 75? You shouldn't be on 75 in the first place if there is a major accident. It sounds like you guys are assuming someone would go on a rush hour commute without checking traffic beforehand. Give OP a little credit.
