Looking for Realtor recommendations for SW FL, especially Cape Coral area. Realtor must be familiar with water depths in canals, lengths of no wake zones, flood zones, etc. Also looking for mortgage lender recommendation and Home/Flood Insurance agent recommendations. Preferably, the Realtor will also be a local boater.

Much thanks!

It is against our TOS to reccomend any RE agent. Do this by PM if you wish to tell another poster about any RE broker, not in the forum.

Thanks, Annie of Oldsmar. Is this the policy for any business? In other words, if I ask for a recommendation of a good hamburger place or pizza, does the result have to be sent by PM? This "hiding" of helpful information (whether it is burger or brokers) seems at odds with a website dedicated to sharing information about areas around the country. I am new to this forum, and am sure there is a reason behind that policy, but I am currently scratching my head trying to fathom that reason.
Thanks.

That's a good point.....what is wrong with helping someone out with some positive feedback?
I've seen discussions about car dealers, marina's,stores ,restaurants.....but realtors are not allowed?

It is our policy for Real Estate agents. Other businesses if you have more than 10 posts you can post them. This is so that ppl don't just come here to post their fav hamburger place or other only. And thanks for asking and making me clarify this.
Here's our TOS:

Why is there a separate policy for Real Estate agents? They need to earn a living, just as the guy at the restaurant does.

Thanks!

RE agents should register as such and they have their own page attached to their page here. That is the way they can advertise In CD.
There is also a real estate forum for RE matters.
